The vivo X300 series is gearing up for its October 13 launch, and vivo teased its imaging prowess during the September 26 “X Series Blueprint Imaging Tech Briefing.” For international tech fans, this is a clear signal: vivo is seriously upping the ante in smartphone photography and videography.

    Telephoto, Portrait, and Video Upgrades

Unlike previous models, the X300 series focuses on practical, user-centered imaging enhancements:

    • First 4K60fps portrait video: Apple’s Cinematic mode still maxes out at 4K30fps, so vivo is pulling ahead for content creators who demand smooth, high-res bokeh videos.

    • Full 4K120fps recording across multiple lenses, including telephoto, for ultra-smooth slow-motion and professional-level footage.

    • On-device AI beauty powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 NPU, allowing fully offline, real-time custom touch-ups in just 10 seconds.

    Advanced Telephoto Lenses and Sensors

    • The vivo X300 standard and X300 Pro telephoto debut the upgraded 1/1.4-inch, 200MP Samsung HPB sensors (an evolution of the HP9 sensor).

    • 4x hardware zoom straight out of the sensor.

    • X300 Pro’s telephoto lens includes 1G+5P optics with CIPA 5.5-axis stabilization, improved from the X200 Pro’s 4.5-axis.

    • New imaging algorithms: NICE 3.0 for optical reconstruction, MAGIC 2.0 for image restoration, and GTR 3.0 for portrait texture, now enhanced with Magic-Cloud AI processing for telephoto and portrait scenarios.

    Concerts, Sports, and Live Action

vivo clearly targets concert-goers and sports enthusiasts:

    1. Moire pattern removal for screens at events.

    2. Stage mode with 4K60 Dolby Vision capture.

    3. Video shooting now has a dedicated capture pipeline instead of just screenshotting the video preview.

    4. Front+rear dual recording mode, producing two independent 4K streams for post-editing.

    5. Enhanced tracking up to 480mm focal length with multi-frame zero-lag focus (thanks to the Dimensity 9500 ISP upgrades).

    6. 12fps continuous shooting maintains full algorithm benefits for up to 36 frames.

    Portraits and Live Photos

    • 4K60fps portrait video is a first for Android phones.

    • End-to-end AI beauty on-device, powered by the Dimensity 9500 NPU, delivers offline, high-quality retouching in 10 seconds.

    • Front camera: 50MP with autofocus, 92° wide-angle, focal length expanded from 24mm to 20mm, offering 12% more field of view.

    • Live Photo AI can remove bystanders automatically, elevating creative freedom.

    Video Recording Upgrades

    • X300 Pro uses the Sony LYT-828 sensor with 100dB+ dynamic range.

    • Stabilization improved by 30%, with a max tilt correction of 2.6°.

    • Full 4K120fps recording across lenses, including telephoto, with 10-bit Log support for pro-level editing.

    • Long-duration 4K60fps recording: up to 5 hours 43 minutes at 35°C ambient temperature.

    New Photography Handles

    • Shutter lag reduced by 74% for precise capture.

    • 7 customizable startup modes for creative flexibility.

    • X300 and X300 Pro support the 2.35x Zeiss telephoto lens from the X200 Ultra series.

Why This Matters for International Users

For foreigners following smartphone photography trends, the vivo X300 series signals a new level of professional-grade imaging on Android: smoother slow-motion, higher frame rate portrait video, superior telephoto optics, and intelligent AI processing directly on-device. If you’re a creator or tech enthusiast looking for a powerful imaging phone that rivals even iPhone 17 series in specialized scenarios, vivo is making a strong case with the X300.
